Publication Schedule

Since its establishment in 2013, Al-Majaalis : Jurnal Dirasat Islamiyah has consistently maintained regular publication of scholarly journals. Al-Majaalis publishes two issues each year, in November and May. Each issue undergoes a rigorous peer review and editing process to ensure that all published articles meet academic standards and publication ethics, thereby making a positive contribution to the field of Islamic studies. To uphold publication quality, Al-Majaalis implements a clear manuscript submission schedule. Manuscripts for the November issue must be submitted no later than September 20th, while manuscripts for the May issue must be submitted no later than March 20th. This schedule provides sufficient time for the review, revision, editing, and publication processes. After an article is submitted, the estimated decision whether rejected or proceed to the next process is between 14 - 28 days. The article review process is between 14 - 63 days. While the editing and layout process requires about 14 - 28 days.

The editorial workflow consists of three main stages. First, all submitted manuscripts are screened to ensure their relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, as well as compliance with the journal template. Second, manuscripts are sent to reviewers for assessment of their scientific merit, novelty, and originality. Third, after revisions by the authors, manuscripts are edited for language and formatting by the editor, and then the layout is arranged for publication according to the scheduled issue. Through this structured process, Al-Majaalis is committed to timely and high-quality publication, aiming to serve as an accessible platform for researchers and academics from various institutions worldwide.
