Author Guideline
- General Information
- All manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration in other journals.
- Submitted manuscripts should be related to Islamic studies, particularly in the fields of Fiqh, Hadith, Aqidah, and the Qur'an.
- Manuscripts must be written in English.
- Arabic texts from Qur'anic verses and Hadith quotations must be accompanied by English translations.
- Foreign terms must be italicized and transliterated according to the official transliteration system issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Culture (SKB No. 158 of 1987).
- Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS) in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- Authors are required to include a self-checked Turnitin report with a similarity score of no more than 20% at the time of submission.
- Manuscript Format
- Word count: 3,000–6,000 words (including references).
- Paper size: A4.
- Main text: Times New Arabic, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing.
- Arabic text: Sakkal Majalla, 14 pt.
- Footnotes: Times New Arabic, 10 pt, single spacing.
- Manuscript Structure
- Title: Written in English, no more than 20 words, clearly reflecting the content of the article.
- Author Information: Full name, institutional affiliation, and email address must be provided for each author.
- Abstract: Written in English, 150–250 words, including background, research objectives, methods, and findings.
- Keywords: 3–5 keywords in English, separated by semicolons (;).
- Introduction: Describes the background, objectives, relevant previous studies (within the last 10 years), and identifies the research gap.
- Method: Explains the research approach, type of research, and sampling or informant selection.
- Results and Discussion: Presents research findings supported by empirical data.
- Conclusion: Summarizes key findings that answer the research questions.
- References: Minimum of 15 sources, using the Gunakan style Turabian 8th edition (full note, no ibid) or Turabian 9th edition (notes and bibliography). At least 80% must be primary sources published within the last 10 years; the rest may include scholarly books or classical texts. References should be listed alphabetically by the authors’ last names and managed using reference manager software such as Mendeley or Zotero.
- Footnotes and Citation Style
Footnotes must follow the Turabian 8th edition (full note, no ibid) or Turabian 9th edition (notes and bibliography). Citation font: Times New Arabic, 10 pt, or Sakkal Majalla, 14 pt for Arabic text. In-text citation is not allowed.
- Tables and Figures
Tables and figures must be numbered and titled. Table titles are placed above the table, while figure titles are placed below the image. Use high-resolution images in JPG or PNG format.
- Arabic Terms and Transliteration
Arabic terms or phrases should be italicized and transliterated according to the official Indonesian system (SKB 158/1987). Direct Arabic quotations must be followed by English translations, either in the main text or in footnotes.
- Submission Procedure
Manuscripts must be submitted via the OJS portal. Submissions that do not follow the journal’s template may be returned without review. Authors are fully responsible for the grammar, content accuracy, and correctness of citations.
